There’s a certain magic that happens behind the scenes of every Rachel Simpson photoshoot, and the Autumn/Winter campaign was no exception. From the initial concepts to the final shots, creating a campaign that perfectly captures the essence of the brand is a true labour of love.
This season was particularly exciting as I prepared to launch a collection I’ve wanted to do for a while now. Whilst I absolutely love designing bridal shoes, I’ve always wanted to go back to my footwear design roots a bit and bring my signature style to more of an evening/ party collection. The new Autumn Winter collection introduces some darker colours and bolder details, with an elegant, rich colour palette of black, gold and forest green, with a rather fabulous splash of leopard print to add a playful edge (who doesn’t love a bit of leopard?).
Creating the campaign for this exciting new collection saw the amazing team who made the Spring Summer campaign so perfectly come back together. Captured beautifully by Jade Alana Photography, the design of the campaign was the result of Jade’s collaboration with Jemma of Martin & Cox, whose styling for this shoot was quite simply exquisite, capturing the exact vibe I was looking for and then some!
Once again wardrobe was designed and styled by the amazing Alex at Brand Image Digital, who managed to bring together looks which were at the same time super glam whilst having a laid back edge- just how we all want to look and feel this party season!
Stunning hair and make up complemented this perfectly, and was designed by the uber talented Nicola Honey Artistry, all modelled by our stunning model, Serena.
With every Rachel Simpson collection vintage inspiration meets modern design, and this collection is no different. One thing I love about working in bolder, dark colours is that they highlight the intricate detailing of my designs even more than with pastel shades and ivory- details such as delicate contrast binding and intricate knots. As always, comfort remains at the forefront of every shoe I create, so materials are carefully selected, heel heights thoughtfully chosen and the cut of each shoe expertly designed. I want you to feel as amazing as you look so your shoes not only turn heads (and trust me they will!), but also carry you through the evening in total comfort- no bare feet on dancefloors allowed!
One thing that makes this collection truly special is its exclusivity. Each style is part of a limited edition, small-run production, ensuring that you have something truly unique.
