Sometimes the easiest way to refresh your wardrobe is with new accessories- a bit like adding new cushions rather than re-painting an entire room. A new pair of shoes can transform your most loved pieces which you've had for years and give them a fresh, modern edge without the need for an entirely new outfit. In this blog I'm going to show you how three key trends in evening shoes for autumn/winter offer an effortless way to update your look while staying true to your own style.
Look one- leopard detail
This first look is one of my favourites because it manages to be both timeless and on trend all at the same time. I've teamed a tailored black jacket over a silk cami, with a long pale gold satin skirt- so far so easy right? The finishing touch comes in the form of some leopard detail shoes- either Margot in black suede or Sophia in gold leather work perfectly with this look. The leopard print bows add a statement detail to an otherwise understated look- finish with chunky gold earrings and a bold red lip.
Look two- forest green and gold
Another key shoe trend which works perfectly for Autumn/ Winter is one of my favourite colour combinations- forest green and gold. Whether it's shoes, outfits, accessories or interiors, is there anything more delicious than the richness of dark green with stunnng gold detail? For our second look I've paired a gorgeous forest green satin shirt with a slightly more out there pair of gold leather trousers (it would work just as well with jeans for a more relaxed look). Wear with either our Olivia knot sandals or Celine forest green courts and finish with gold accessories and a natural manicure.
Look three- classic black
The third and final look for now is the shoe equivalent of the little black dress- the perfect black heel. You can't beat a bit of classic black for an evening occasion and in this look I've added some fun texture in the form of a feathered sleeve and bold but simple gold jewellery. Pair with our Olivia black and gold knot sandals for a more classic vibe, or our Ottilie black leather ankle boots for something a little different. And don't forget to add a little bronzing shimmer for a lux finishing touch.
