Looking for a quick way to update and elevate your wardrobe for summer? You can't go wrong with a trusty pair of metallic shoes! We often think of gold and silver shoes as being solely for evening wear, but they work beautifully to uplift an outfit when the sun shines and are an easy way to instantly refresh a look.
Whilst metallic shoes go with literally any colour (another reason I love them!), for a stylish yet effortless daytime look they look particularly good paired with neutrals. Think natural coloured linen, whites and creams and warm shades of light browns, camel and taupe. Finish with matching jewellery (I particularly love a pair of statement earrings) and a cute summer clutch (matching or tonal, your choice), and you're good to go!
I think this was one of my favourite scenes from the latest photoshoot and it really shows how versatile our shoes are. Yes they're special, but I'm a firm believer in trying to make every day special, and the look equally as good worn as daywear as these photos prove. In this blog I'm breaking down each look to hopefully inspire you to get those occasion shoes out from the back of the wardrobe and start giving them some love!
Look One

Shirt | Trousers | Gold shoes | Off-white shoes | Coat | Bag | Earrings
Our first look is all about understated, old money elegance and timeless style. I chose a pair of wide leg trousers in a soft neutral fabric which fell beautifully, combining it with a cute floral detail shirt for just the right amount of statement. Couldn't resist going for a classic Chanel inspired quilted bag and finishing with statement gold earrings and a classic camel wool coat. We shot this look with two different shoe styles- the Celine court in off-white leather, and our gold leather slingback, Sapphire.

Look Two

Dress | Jacket | Gold shoes | Ivory shoes | Bag | Earrings
This second look is super laid back to wear but looked super polished, so you could wear it to a wedding or event just as easily as a dressed up day out with the girls. You can't beat timeless linen in a natural shade and I love this classic tailored shift dress. A boxy tan suede jacket brings the look up to date and I finished with another pair of statement earrings, matching a classic gold clutch. Again we styled two different shoes with this outfit- Minnie gold leather block heels and Connie in ivory suede with mixed metallic detail.

Whatever summer occasion you've got coming up, you really can't go wrong with a soft, timeless palette of neutrals with metallic accessories. As these images proves you know you'll always get plenty of wear out of your shoes too, the only problem will be taking them off!
