Sometimes all the pieces come together perfectly to create something truly special. That's exactly what happened when we got together with a team of talented creatives to create the Spring Summer campaign.
The new Spring Summer collection is a stunning blend of iconic Rachel Simpson classics in fresh new colourways, with stunning new styles which take the distinctive RS signature style in a slightly more minimalist and modern direction. The colour palette is fresh with crisp ivory, signature mint green, soft blush pink and the colour of the season, an elegant dusky blue. Gold also features throughout in the form of two striking new styles as well as contrast detailing.
We wanted the campaign for this collection to have a nod to RS heritage but with a clean, modern look. The idea was to build on the idea of our shoes having a classic style which will last for years, but which are also modern and wearable (rather than being kept in a box at the back of the wardrobe!)- shoes to treasure but enjoy.
It's quite a big deal to entrust your brand to someone, but when we found the dream partnership of Martin & Cox and Jade Alana Photography, we knew we were in safe hands. From the very first meeting it was clear these incredibly talented women had a clear vision of the brand and not only that, how to take it in the new direction we wanted whilst maintaining key signature elements.
Styling was an integral part of the campaign and it was vital we got it just right to showcase the shoes without overshadowing them. For this we worked with the ridiculously good Brand Image Digital, who created the most chic capsule wardrobe which blurred the line between modern bridal and elegant occasion wear perfectly, adding in some effortlessly cool day wear looks along the way.
The perfect outfits need the perfect hair and make up, and this was provided in spades by the wonderful Nicola Honey Artistry. We've worked with Nicola for many years now and she never fails to capture the perfect vibe for each and every campaign- this time the look was fresh, dewy with a touch of glam.
The shoot took place at Breathe Studio in Islington- a stunning and airy space with the perfect natural light (and a Gails virtually next door to keep the team in good coffee!).
The faces of the Spring Summer campaign are Andreia and Annie of BMA models. Not only did they capture the perfect combination of elegance, fun and effortless style- they were a joy to work with and gave the shoot such a positive vibe.
