Sometimes the most simple designs are the most effective, and that is so true with one of my bestselling shoes, Minnie. It's funny, my signature style is known for being quite intricate, but I'm a huge fan of perfectly proportioned, understated designs too and I think your shoe wardrobe needs a good balance of both. The key thing is versatility- will you be able to get plenty of wear out of a pair of shoes- and with Minnie the answer is a resounding YES! So what is it about this particular style which makes her the perfect shoe for any occasion?
Comfort!
All my shoes are known for being comfy, and Minnie is no exception. What makes her so incredibly comfortable are the wide straps wat the front- they're tubular, meaning there are no seams, so there's nothing to rub your feet. The leather or suede is also super soft, meaning the straps will give and mould to your feet the more you wear them.
Add to this the mid-height block heel and simple ankle strap for support, and Minnie is a shoe you really can pop on and forget about, whatever the occasion calls for!
Versatile Style
If Minnie was a flat she'd be super casual, if she was on a classic heel she'd be more dressy. As she is, sitting on the perfect mid-height block heel, she sits very comfortably between the two. I've worn mine for days out and meetings, evening and formal events- they're one of the most versatile shoes in my wardrobe.
Whenever I go on holiday or for a business trip I tend to pop in a pair of Minnie. They're perfect when you need something a little more dressed up for a meeting or evening meal, but without looking overly formal. Plus, you can just as easily wear the during the daytime, and you want to get the most wear out of every pair of shoes you pack!
Perfect Palette
Minnie originally launched in two colours- gorgeous metallic gold leather, and pretty soft blue suede. Rich forest green soon followed and this year I launched one of my personal favourites, off-white leather. I can speak from experience when I say the gold go with absolutely everything, having worn mine on repeat for the past two years. On holiday, to meetings, for days out- I have to remind myself to wear something else from time to time!
The new off-white leather version are on my wishlist- of course they work perfectly as a wedding shoe, but I'm also loving a bit of off-white/ ivory footwear for the summer with jeans and tailored trousers.
Considering how often I wear mine, it's probably no surprise that Minnie continues to be one of my bestselling styles. I think the best shoes are the ones you don't have to think about (apart from how gorgeous they are!), and this style is just that. She's elegant without being too dressy, comfy and super versatile, so whether you're off to a wedding, planning a summer party or just fancy a new pair of daytime heels, Minnie might just become your new favourite too.
