This month sees the return of the infamous Royal Ascot, and with it Ladies Day on Thursday 18th June. Choosing the right shoes can be tricky, as you'll likely want to wear a pair of heels, but a day at the races also means plenty of walking, standing and navigating grass, so comfort is just as important as style. A classic trouser suit & kitten heels
You can't beat the classic combination of a stunning trouser suit with a sleek pair of kitten heel shoes. I love this pale blue suit with a softly tailored, extra wide leg trouser and unstructured, flowing jacket. Pair with a simple ivory satin cami, silver jewellery and a pair of Sapphire silver leather slingbacks, or Isadora art deco peep toes for a subtle vintage edge.
